  1. I am using ICE tables and equilibrium law to solve for unknown equilibrium concentrations (E2.4, E3.4) 

  1. I am using ICE tables, initial concentrations and equilibrium concentrations to calculate K values for an equilibrium system (E2.4, E3.4) 

  1. I am calculating a Q value to determine if a system is at equilibrium, and if not, what direction it will shift (E2.4, E3.4)

  1. I can calculate the equilibrium constant (k) for an equilibrium system using ICE tables, initial concentrations and equilibrium concentrations. (E2.4, E3.4) (Thinking/Inquiry)

Instructions:

In this assignment you will use Equilibrium Law, Equilibrium constants and ICE tables to quantitatively solve for K values and unknown concentrations of reactants and products at equilibrium.  

This is a formative evaluation that will be used to grade your performance with regards to specific learning expectations. Please ensure that you have reviewed the learning activities for 4-2 before attempting this assignment.  

Task 

  1. Download and print the following assignment.

  2. Follow the instructions on the worksheet.  Show all of your work.   

 

Submission Requirements 

  1. Create a pdf formatted version of your assignment. You can do this by completing one of the following: 

  • Using your smartphone or tablet, create a pdf using a scanner app such as "Tiny scanner" or "Scanner App" OR 
  • Using a scanner, scan your work (all pages) and create a pdf file OR 
  • Use your phone or digital camera to take pictures and insert them in MS Word. Once you have created the word document, SAVE YOUR FILE AS A PDF by selecting "Save As" and select PDF from the drop-down menu. 
  1. Return to this page and submit your completed assignment using the "Add Submission" button located at the bottom of this page.
