Learning Strands & Expectations

Organic Chemistry

    • assess the social and environmental impact of organic compounds used in everyday life, and propose a course of action to reduce the use of compounds that are harmful to human health and the environment
    • investigate organic compounds and organic chemical reactions, and use various methods to represent the compounds
    • demonstrate an understanding of the structure, properties, and chemical behaviour of compounds within each class of organic compounds

Test Overview

This test is designed to be completed in 60-90 minutes. The test will remain open for 2 hours to accommodate special circumstances that may arise in each classroom.

Remember to read the questions carefully and be sure to check your work before pressing submit. Do not leave any questions blank.

All responses will be graded according to the KICA Achievement Chart.

Please ensure that you have your pen/pencil and worksheets with you before you begin the test. Click on the test link below when you are ready to begin.

  Test Instructions

    • This activity is meant to be completed by you. Please ensure that you follow the academic policies that are outlined in your Academic Integrity Contract.

    • You must complete the test within the allotted amount of time. Once you open the test, your time begins. The test will automatically close when your time is up. You will not be allowed back into the test once the time has expired.
