SCH4U - Chemistry 12 (2024-25) - A

In this set of learning activities you will learn about the further evolution of the theories surrounding atomic structure beyond Rutherford & Bohr. The activities build on the idea of electron orbitals and their associated energy and take them to the next level by introducing and exploring quantum theory and the quantum model of the atom. You will be introduced to important principles including the Pauli exclusion principle. By the end of the learning activities you will understand how to interpret the 4 quantum numbers and have a greater understanding of how electrons are organized around the nucleus of the atom.
